How to use the Rotech Keg?

What do all these graphs actually show?

At first glance the Rotech graphs are confusing and over whelming.  For all of us these graphs can present as daunting.

What they show are simple rates of change, levels, temperatures and pressures.

At each step there is data on each step.  For example

The prewash, rinse with water, shows level,  temperature and pressure.  A 20L will need less water than a 30L, and 30L less than a 50L.  The pressure reveals how the keg is being treated,  between 2 and 3 bar is about the maximum limit required.  Why?  That is the rating limit of most kegs, fittings and spears.  Too much is just a waste of energy , too little can result in a vacuum or an in balance of pressure reducing control of flow and wash.

Similar issues should be considered in during the acid or caustic. sequences. In addition  temperature will effect the performance of the chemicals, level will show effeceincy of use, pressure and level will show the effectiveness of purge.

On the final sections where steam and  and CO2 are involved.  Pressure , temperature and level can show the effectiveness of purge, steam saturation and condensation as well as a potential for pressure differentials that can result in microbe reintroduction, increased fill rates, blockages in pipes to and from the equipment.
